Today I’m sharing a card I made with some lovely floral layering stencils that were only £1 in a recent sale at the Spellbinders store.

I already had some lovely ink pads still out on my desk from another project, so went with yellow and purple tones for the flowers, pus an array of Altenew green inks for the foliage.
The set includes 5 steps, and I chose C9 Ivory card for my “canvas”.
Once the panel was done, I cut it out with my favourite Jumbo Tag die and splattered it with a mix of watered down purple ink and gold paint.
I put the tag aside to dry, and built the rest of the card – using up some of my cut-down Bazzill cardstock stack.

I did a big overhaul of my 12×12 Bazzill cardstock last year so that I had most of it cut into 6×6 squares ready to use on regular card projects for matting or covering card bases. I’m definitely using that card more, as it’s much easier to flick through and compare the shades against my project. But here’s a tip if you are thinking of doing the same, keep some 6×12 pieces of the colours you think you may use on 5×7 cards.
I’m powering through the lighter shades, but have finally used a darker one here to anchor the whole card.
Once everything was assembled, I simply added the sentiment down in the corner and there we go.
Until next time, happy crafting!
