Seas the (Father’s) Day Wishes | Spellbinders Ahoy, Matey!

For this year’s Father’s Day card, I thought it would be fun to try an alternative colour way for a card I made at the end of May.

And well, I think this look works for almost any occasion, even when you don’t have the 100% perfect sentiment to hand.

Card idea | Spellbinders Ahoy, Matey! and The Greetery Capsule Party Scene

I started out by creating all the frames and stencil elements in the Capsule Party Scene set from The Greetery.

The bottom layer is inked with the Rolling Tide stencils for the waves, and some blue Distress Inks for the sky.

I covered my card base in a mix of Poppy and Ivory cardstock strips on a UK A6 card.

Card idea | Spellbinders Ahoy, Matey! and The Greetery Capsule Party Scene

To provide extra contrast for the frame, I cut the top layer from Hazelnut card and then settled down to assemble the seagull from the Ahoy, Matey! die set.

Finally, I added sentiments from the Anchors Away set and card done.
