It’s a Festive Friday with a difference this week!
Christmas in July is upon us. And to mark the occasion I’m sharing a couple of card projects for the fun new Spectacular Christmas Collection from Spellbinders releasing today in the US and UK Spellbinders stores.

My first card features the Spectacular Bear as a polar bear.
I just love the fun festive glasses in this set and how you can create a different look and feel just through the cardstock colours you select.
Here are the colours I used for this card:
- Bear body: Alabaster, Raven, Tutu, Bellini (ColorWheel) + Taffy (Bazzill)
- Glasses: Truffle, Rainforest, Fern, Saffron
- Hat and scarf: Blush and Poppy
- Cupcake: Fawn, Coral, Bellini, Waterfall, Fern, Pomegranate
- Postage background: Mint and Classic White
- Card base: C9 Sweet Pea
I really like how this giant postage stamp look turned out – I’ll have to give it the full postage treatment next time! The dies I used are from an older retried release, but Spellbinders also has a similar set called Nested Postage Labels & Tag Etched Dies (US | UK).

For my next card, I created a grey bear wearing and holding the other accessories in the die set.
Here are the colours I used for this card:
- Bear body: Fog, Anchor, Raven, Tutu, Bellini
- Glasses: Pomegranate and Truffle
- Hat and scarf: C9 Pink Lemonade and Sweet Pea
- Christmas pudding: Alabaster, Truffle, Fern, Pomegranate
- Arches: Bellini and Classic White
- Banner: Mint
- Card base: Blue Spruce
The sentiment I added here comes from the retired Sending You Spellbinders stamp set (CSOM-OCT21) on the banner die from the Gifting Bow die set (US | UK). I then used a very snazzy card base colour to really make the bear pop in the Essential Arches (US | UK).
The Spectacular Bear die set has an assembly guide included in the product listing images, it’s very handy for working out what goes where. Assembly guides are also available for the other die sets too.
