I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a little “last hurrah for autumn” before Christmas card production ramps up!
I desperately wanted to use the lovely Mushroom Meadow layering stencils from The Greetery while the sunny weather was still inspiring my colour palette.
No dull and drab colours here in my alternative autumn colour scheme!

I started out by grabbing an A2 panel of C9 Ivory cardstock to create a softer look to this stencilled background.
The Mushroom Meadow stencil set has six layers to it, but there’s space on each stencil to use different colours for different elements if you use smaller shader brushes.
I went for a mix of teal tones, warm and berry pinks, plus a nod to autumn with the pops of yellow and orange against the leafy green.
Once my panel was done, I contemplated my options.
I didn’t want to cover it up too much, but I also needed to make my sentiment stand out somehow.
So I cut an aperture in the larger Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Labels die with the rectangle included in the set.
Then I gave the kraft frame a good splattering of Champagne Gold paint for a little sparkle, before adding the “Enjoy Your Day!” sentiment from the Simple Everyday Mini Sentiments set.
I backed the label with a piece of vellum to soften the background, and then added the “Just for You” sentiment from the Tagged Elegance set inside the aperture.
I finished off the frame with a tiny heart and added some contrasting strips of card to the top and bottom of my card to bring everything together.
And there we go!
