Sneaking these cards just under the deadline, for the November card challenge – I’m back with more pink trees!
This time featuring some stitching.
I started off though creating some blended backgrounds with various colours of Distress Oxides (plus a little Fossilized Amber in the second background.
The backgrounds were also sprayed with Mister Huey mists.
And then I got on with cutting the Dotted Tree dies from The Stamp Market out of pink cardstock to do some stitching:

First I had a go at chain stitch with mixed success – I certainly need practice on something a little simpler, but I really like the look and a perfect way to use some of my sequins and seed beads.
I finally have two sets of sentiment stamps in Polish so it’s nice to be able to send some festive cards this year to Poland that have the right greeting on them!
For my other tree I went with a simpler stitch:

And I really like how the oversized sequins in my stash look layered up like this.
You can also see in this shot the shimmer from the mists and the Platinum gold metallic embossing. I may need to make more of this design – perhaps some stitching in front of the telly on these cold winter nights.
