Celebrate | Simon Says Stamp Bohemian Lace Background

Good morning!

My sharing of projects I made earlier this month got a little derailed. But there are still a good few card projects to blog.

Including this card assembly project with another background I made last year:

This card is all about stamping and ink.

The background itself was created on watercolour cardstock that had the Bohemian Lace background heat embossed on it in white.

I then used the ink smooshing technique with the colours listed below to create a real mix of colours and opacity.

It’s a really summery colour palette and I didn’t want to obscure that background when it came to adding a sentiment.

I simply used some small nested dies to create an aperture (with kraft cardstock in the background) and tag for some mini sentiments, plus a teeny heart stamped from one of my most versatile Christmas stamp sets.

For all the drama of the ink smooshing technique, it’s a clean and simple card when it comes to the actual construction. 🙂
