I managed to enjoy a little crafty playtime at the weekend, complete with more ideas for the Canned die set from The Greetery’s new La Dolce Vita release.
I loved the idea of using the can as a way to hold the new Coastal Cuttings dies.

I couldn’t quite decide on the colour combination for the can I wanted to use, so I ended up using the same cardstock (Spellbinders Fern and TSM Gumdrop) to create a can with the colours reversed too.
So look out for that post in due course!
But for this card, the base of the can is Fern cardstock, and the rim is Gumdrop.
The lid is backed with Tickle Me Pink cardstock and Matte Gold card for the foil lining.
The Coastal Cuttings die base is cut from C9 Artichoke and I used lots of cardstock scraps from the colours listed below to add the blooms.
For the bottom half of the can, I decorated a piece of Candy Kiss cardstock with one of the labels from the Ciao Bella Borders stamp set in red ink, then added another stamp in Candy Kiss ink so that I could cut an aperture with the matching border die.
I backed the aperture with Gumdrop card, and stamped elements from the Something Fishy Sentiments set in Cactus ink inside, complete with the little wave die-cut from the Canned Lite set in Candy Kiss card.
There is also a banner and sentiment from the Something Fishy Sentiments set stamped in Gumdrop and Black Licorice on the side of the can.
Once I’ed positioned the florals inside the can and tucked them behind the bottom panel, I covered up the join with the Champagne foil detail and can key in gold.
Then it was just a matter of adding the Laid Back Basics sentiment to finish the card off.
