Morning!
So, to break up the Christmas in July projects, I decided it was time for a little floral action with some Spellbinders dies I picked up earlier this year during one of their sales.
The Four Petal Bloom Reflection die set is another one great for using up cardstock scraps, as every die in the set fits inside the Sidekick machine.
Here’s how my little colour experiment turned out:
Stamp: The Greetery – Tear Strip Tags Birthday
Dies: The Greetery – Tear Strip Banners, Spellbinders – Four Petal Bloom Reflection, The Greetery – Deco Frames
I wanted to go with a softish colour tone for the florals are here’s the cardstock I used for them:
- C9: Eucalyptus, Nectar, Grapefruit, Aqua Sky, Lakehouse, Juniper, Stardust
- Spellbinders: Chiffon, Sicily
I also used a little white for the daisies.
There are some matching label dies that fit perfectly around the reflection florals, but I don’t own those. So I flicked through some die sets to find something that would nicely frame the florals.
Enter The Greetery’s Deco Frames!
Then, I spent like 20 minutes flicking through my stack of A2 panels cut from C9 cardstock to find the right shade to make those florals pop.
And I finally settled on Midnight blue! Pimento was actually a close second. Who’d have thought?
I already had the perfect sentiment good to go, from The Greetery’s Tear Strip Birthday set cut with the coordinating banner die.
Finally, I mounted the assembled panel on a powder blue card base and card complete.
Until next time, happy crafting!
