Festive Fridays | Holly Berries Market Place

So here we are, another Festive Friday and one I just couldn’t face during the weekend heatwave.

I left this one late, and wasn’t feeling the love so much with the end result. But I was inspired to create a dimensional snowglobe card featuring the Market Place dies from The Greetery, since the new Celebration Street accessories were recently released.

Card idea | The Greetery Market Place No.1

So it all started with a colourful mix of cardstock from C9 – Sweet Pea for the building with the last of my Pink Lemonade scraps for the windows, contrasting with Juniper card.

The building is backed with C9 Powder card, and decorated with Basil and Cranberry wreaths from the Market Place Holiday Festoons set.

Before adding anything else, I splattered the house with white paint for the all-important snowy effect.

Once that was dry, I added the gold Merry Christmas banner as the main sentiment, some pastel glitter festoon lights, and the Holly’s Berries sign.

For the snowglobe look, I cut a cardbase with the largest Essential Arches die, covered it in the snowy blue paper from Crate Paper’s Mittens & Mistletoe collection, and added a snowbank at the bottom with more pastel glitter card using the City Holidays die set.

The card really stands out nicely when it’s on a shelf or mantelpiece.

And once everything was assembled with extra pop, I added Diamond Stickles to the roof, windows, door, sign, and bottom of the building.

Hopefully next week’s Festive Friday will be a bit more inspiring, but it all depends on the heat! Ha!
