Festive Fridays | Tis the Season

Morning all!

The Seven Hills Blog was taking a little hiatus this week while the store is moving to a new hosting platform, so there was no Wednesday post from me.

But, I have still got a Festive Friday project to share this week with a little birthday present to myself.

Christmas card inspiration featuring Spellbinders City Holiday dies

I finally managed to snag the City Holiday die set from Spellbinders, designed by Yana Smakula.

And well, you know I love a tiny house and indeed, a larger house for festive cards.

And here’s what I made for the first outing.

I started out creating the apartment building from C9 Lakeside and Rainforest for the roof.

I raided my scraps from C9 and Spellbinders ColorWheel for all the other cardstock elements.

You’ve got to love the different window treatments for different looks, and of course the lovely wreath and bow options.

Once I’d assembled the building, I used a dark blue ink pad to colour the edges of my card base, ready to add the snow at the bottom and act as the perfect nighttime backdrop.

For my sentiment, I already had a few ready-cut from The Stamp Market’s ‘Tis the Season set.

And as a final finishing touch, out came the puffy paint for some snow details.

I will definitely be giving this die set the pink/peach and Dijon treatment in future!
